Sorry but I happen to like her and feel the need to champion her a bit - she wears vintage and I think she is incredibly brave for adamantly refusing to NOT not be happy despite the entire world's attempt to make her crawl into a ball and weep at her alien life. Somehow I see it as being a bit different and when she did (and does) appear in public it is most likely because there is 30 rude, ignorant paparazzi surrounding her and her child and oh yeah she knows they will print things about her and her husband and her daughter that are horribly terribly mean. Personally I would kick their asses but thats just me and I think she has behaved with remarkable decorum.
So rant aside, I was pleased to come across this photo of Katie looking absolutely fabulous in her seventies inspired jeans. I also have to tell you - I recently have chopped off all my hair and went back to super dark after my foray into the almost but not quite blonde - not going to happen on this girl let me tell you. When I saw this picture today I realized I had inadvertently gotten myself a Katie though technically she copied me since she has just recently chopped it shorter. I will post a picture in a few days so you can see. In the meantime I am going to go find a pair of original seventies jeans and am going to recreate this outfit. I think it hits the exact right balance of cool and casual but funky. Katie you look great!

Rant away! I agree completely. Most people's appearances would be fodder for derision if every move we made were photographed and analyzed.
Can't wait to see your hair!
I think that this is going to be a huge trend in the fall. Take a look at this http://www.jcrew.com/flatpages/womensFallPreview.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302024441&bmUID=1218560058564
I've been loving her jeans...and I agree that she puts up with a lot of crap. I would never be able to deal with it. Want to see your new hair!
