THIS weekend, Londons Victoria & Albert Museum will play host to a series of celebrations of all things ethical fashion with Conscious style - a day of fashion shows, styling workshops, talks and events all taking place in the museum's new Sackler Centre for arts educations.
Visitors will have the chance to update their wardrobes in sustainable style with a special swap shop plus get ideas on how to customise and re-shape old garments in a series of workshops from fashion students at Central Saint Martins.
Meanwhile, Katharine Hamnett, Lucy Siegle and Caryn Franklin will be among the industry experts debating the future of sustainable fashion on the high street, and the likes of Noir, Junky Styling and From Somewhere will all take to the catwalk.
All events on the day are free and no prior booking is required though some events may be ticketed on the day as numbers may be limited. For further information, visit www.vam.ac.uk/ethicalfashion.
On another, not so fun note - I am having some technical difficulties (again grrr) on the site - specifically on the designer page. the main pictures are not working but the link to click through to see the rest of the pictures an descriptions seems to work. Be patient, I am working on it.
