Roses are red......

It is with somewhat of a reluctance that I post this lovely 1950's silk dress. It's a near couture level piece in its construction and fabric. The silk is that lovely buttery silk that one can only find in the finest of 1950s dresses and it is then lined in a tissue thin silk organza. The rose print is water washed into the fabric giving it a hazy, sultry feel and then some of the roses have had a velvet wash appliqué so they have the slightest raised effect and add another level of texture to the dress.
