Pajamas People?

Jessica Alba wore these "outerwear" pajamas last night from Dolce & Gabbana. I will bet cha 100 bucks she is going to get slammed all over the place for it.

They are a very LITERAL translation are they not?

Perasonally, if I was going to wear a boudouir garment out in public I will reach for a vintage one.

For example, I would wear this everywhere if I owned it:

This is a dressing gown, ca. 1930, by Mariano Fortuny (Italian, born Spain, 1871–1949).
It's part of the Met collection.
I doubt if it would land you on any Go Fug Yourself list.
If it did then I would have OFFICIAL, Undisputable, Absolute Proof that some people are just fucking tastless these days - or at least the people who bash other people and yet never show a picture of themselves. Oops was that a dig? I digress
Here's another past lingerie piece that can now be worn outside, if you are a daring, sexy, well toned bitch of course

1970s John Kloss gown avaibale at Shrimpton Couture

Don't think for even a moment that Dolce is the first to have done this little micro-trend either. The great Muiccia Prada did it already - successfully too I might add - in the spring of 2002.

Remember this top

Prada 2002 Collection

Sold out and waited listed around the country.

But she Paired it with more conservative pieces so it became an accent piece, a quirk, an eccentric piece of intelligent wit.

Which is what apparently Julian Schnabel is attempting as he goes everywhere in his signature pajama top designed by his wife Olatz López Garmendia

(see how I work in a boy to this piece - clever huh? Can't leave them out all the time)

Oddly, don't hate the Dolce outfit at all in concept and I bet it feels like a million bucks on and only cost ...oh about 1/4 of that *wink*......but there is something that is off in the proportion of the leg length, or maybe its the shoe, or that the top should be one size smaller
or maybe Jessica just isn't a big enough personality for the outfit.

Because sometimes when a girl tries to wear a trend that is so big and so different, that is really what it boils down to - big personality.
One girls Fug list outfit is another girl's best dressed one. But she is usually the kind of girl who is over-the-top, in your face, crazy assed eccentric do-what she wants kind of girl,
or a supermodel
Damn them

Oh man! Fingers crossed that this soon becomes acceptable officewear! If so, I'm buying some jammies from Target and then telling my boss I'm just really in style.

Maybe it's just me, but your "Followers" thing doesn't seem to be allowing me to follow your blog. Is it broken, or am I not cool enough to be a follower? :)

Yeah, I saw some criticism of her for this. I agree with you that it is a little literal and that someone who had a bigger personality might work it better -- but overall, it's just not my favorite thing. It looks good on Hefner though.
