Bragging On Wendy Brandes

My girl Wendy, of Wendy Brandes Jewelry, has had her Matilda sword necklace worn by the gorgeous Alexa Chung AND the picture of that wearing is debuting on page 79 of the September 2009 issue of Marie Claire!!

That is so amazing and I had to brag on it.

Real Life Vintage Spots - Bloggers

I have been super busy behind the scenes at Shrimpton Couture - I have a big surprise collaboration to announce this week! Its left me with little spare time to blog so today I did a bit of cruising through some of my favorite blogs and pulled pictures some of my fabulous fellow bloggers who have been wearing vintage. It also shows you how many million ways there are to incorporate vintage into your wardrobe!!

To get to each of their blogs just click their pictures!!

The most fabulous and glamorous beauty from The Glamorai rocking a vintage kimono as a dress. This is one of my favorite tricks too!!

From the Archives - A Mr. Blackwell for Wendy B

This morning on Twitter (click to follow me)
WendyB posted her blog post on some Mr. Blackwell dresses

(some from the fabulous Frock NYC - Hi Evan!!)

I tweeted that I too had one tucked away in my archives and promised a post. This is a stunning gown in a printed blue chiffon - its dreary here today so the color is a bit less deep then it is in real life. Its a spot on trend one shoulder gown that has the most amazing over-the-top cascading ruffled edge!

There is a matching chiffon scarf that you can style a bazillion different ways with it too! Its really a stunner and I am not sure if it is for sale or not. I just love it so! I guess everything has its price though so if you fell in love with it to, feel free to pop me off an email and we will chat!
